Dive Deeper: Exploring Spirituality & Ways of Prayer

This is a group for adults age 30-45 approximately who wish to explore contemporary spirituality and spiritual practice. The group has a contemplative approach, drawing on Christian spirituality and Eastern practices such as mindfulness. The aim is to help you find a way of prayer that works for you and that will cultivate inner awareness, stillness, and insight. Each session will introduce a way of prayer or meditation. Amoris Laetitia (The Joy of Love) Reading Group

This group will offer the opportunity to discuss Pope Francis' latest encylical on the family. We will meet over 4 Monday evenings: 20 & 27 November; 4 & 11 December, 8-9:30pm at the Jesuit Centre, 6 Ely Place, Sea Road, Galway. Advent Retreat: ‘Messengers of Joy’

November 30 - December 24

The theme of this year's Sacred Space/Pray as you go Advent Retreat is 'Messengers of Joy'. It is an invitation to reflect on some of the 'good news' moments in the Christmas story, using Isaiah and the Gospel of Luke. This retreat will be available in text and audio format on Sacred Space and in audio format on Pray as you go from 30 November, in time for the beginning of Advent.

Belvedere College Sleep-Out

December 22 - December 24

The Belvedere College "Annual Sleep-Out" will take place on 22 to 24 of December in two locations; outside the Bank of Ireland, College Green, Dublin 2 and at the GPO, O'Connell Street, Dublin 1. First established in 1983, the Sleep Out comprises of a joint group of past & present pupils sleeping out on the streets of Dublin to raise funds and create awareness for a number of charities including the Peter McVerry Trust and Focus Ireland.
