Scoil Iognáid

Scoil Iognáid is a Jesuit primary school founded in 1971 and located beside Coláiste Iognáid in Galway. The school is bi-lingual and caters for boys and girls.

Lay Retreat Association

The Lay Retreat Association of Saint Ignatius is based in Milltown Park, Dublin 6. This association is a group of lay men and women who organise and promote retreats at weekends.

Jesuit Archives

The Irish Jesuit Archives (IJA) is a private repository, whose primary role is to preserve and protect the memory of the Irish Jesuits. It acts as a bridge between past, present and future; it records the challenges, aspirations and experiences of Jesuits and documents their successes and failures.

Clongowes

On 18 May 1814 Clongowes Wood College, received its first pupil, James MacLorinan, of Dublin. His parents were drapers. The college's Mission Statement speaks of educating our pupils 'according to the best traditions and highest standards of Jesuit schooling and the values of the Gospel'.

Crescent College

Crescent College Comprehensive in Dooradoyle, Limerick incorporates the characteristics of Jesuit Education. It seeks to develop fully each students' religious, moral, social, intellectual, physical and cultural sensibilities.

Gonzaga College

Gonzaga College was founded in 1950 as a day school for boys under the direction of the Society of Jesus. At present there are five hundred and twenty boys on the College rolls.

Jesuit Communication Centre

The Jesuit Communication Centre serves the internal and external communications needs of the Irish Province using traditional and new media. It is an apostolate which promotes the work of Jesuits and of all the apostolates which they run.

Jesuit Refugee Service

The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international Catholic non-governmental organisation, founded in 1980. Its mission is to accompany, advocate and serve the cause of refugees and forcibly displaced persons worldwide.

Magis Ireland

Magis Ireland offers young adults a model of leadership and the tools to critique, in a positive manner, themselves, society and the Church. In this way they can help to build a better world.

Milltown Institute

Milltown Institute is a third level College for the study of Theology, Philosophy and Spirituality. It is one of the premier centres for the study of these disciplines in Ireland, and it attracts an international group of students from some forty different countries.

Pioneer Association

The Pioneer Total Abstinence Association of the Sacred Heart was founded in St Francis Xavier Church, Gardiner St, Dublin on 28th December 1898 by Fr James A Cullen. Fr Cullen was born in New Ross, Co Wexford, in 1841 and entered the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) in 1901.

Sacred Space

Sacred Space is a prayer website which has achieved considerable fame since its foundation in 1999. It was created by two members of the Jesuit order, Alan McGuckian SJ and Peter Scally SJ, and was managed by the Jesuit Communication Centre, Dublin, Ireland, until June 2008.

Studies

Published by the Irish Jesuits, Studies is an Irish quarterly review which examines Irish social, political, cultural and economic issues in the light of Christian values and explores the Irish dimension in literature, history, philosophy and religion.

Irish Provincialate

The Irish Jesuit Provincialate (Curia) comprises the Provincial, Tom Layden SJ, the Assistant Provincial (Socius), Liam O'Connell SJ, the Province Administrator, John Maguire SJ, and the heads of offices and their staff. The Provincialate is in Milltown Park.

Christian Life Community

CLC is a worldwide lay organisation, lived out in small groups of 6-10 people who strive to live a common way of Christian life based on the Exercises of St Ignatius.

Coláiste Iognáid

The tradition of Jesuit education in Galway is a long and varied one, not only in the variety of place and time, but also in its attempts to meet the challenges of the evangelisation in different decades.

Gardiner Street Parish

The Church of St Francis Xavier in Gardiner Street was one of the first churches to be built in Dublin after Catholic Emancipation (Catholic Relief Act) in 1829. The church in Hardwicke St opened in 1821. By 1829, however, it had become too small for the congregations.

Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice

The Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice undertakes social analysis, theological reflection and action in relation to issues of social justice, including housing and homelessness, penal policy, asylum and migration, and international development.

Jesuit Missions

The Irish Jesuit Mission office is located in 28 Upper Sherrard Street, Dublin 1, Ireland. The aim of this office is to support the Irish Jesuit missionaries and volunteers working in Africa and Asia.

JUST Ballymun

The Jesuit University Support & Training (JUST) in Ballymun is an initiative of the Irish Jesuits which is designed to contribute to increasing 3rd level educational opportunities for the people in this Dublin suburb, helping them to realize their full potential in a real, tangible way.

Manresa Spirituality Centre

Manresa is a Jesuit Centre of Spirituality in Dollymount, Dublin 3, very close to Bull Island and St Anne’s Park. The Jesuit presence in these parts dates from a request in 1948 by the Archbishop of Dublin that the Society would establish a retreat house on Dublin’s north side.

People Talk

The  PeopleTalk project is an initiative of the Irish Jesuits as part of their mssion to promote social jusitce. The project seeks to start a national, public conversation regrading the state and delivery of Irish public services  in the areas of health, the elderly, the  gardai, the enviornment, etc.

St Declan's School

Founded in 1958 by the Irish Jesuits, St. Declan's School, with the endorsement and co-operation of the Department of Education and Science, offers a specialised educational service to children who for personal or emotional reasons are achieving below their potential in mainstream primary schooling.
