lcresults_01The day of the Leaving Certificate results, Crescent College put on a breakfast for 137 happy graduates. It was a good morning there and in the other Jesuit colleges – they scored above the national average in most subjects. Apart from the charmed elite who scored As in all their subjects, there was a high average score (in the 400-450 range) in each of the colleges, and a striking number (26% in Clongowes) scored over 500 points: this despite a greater academic and social mix than before, and increasing numbers presenting with special learning needs. These results are only one aspect of what the school tries to achieve, but they speak well for the commitment of the students and the professionalism of their teachers.
