New Co-Ordinator for Ecumenism

boleary_01Brian O’Leary SJ has been appointed the new Province Co-ordinator for Ecumenism, replacing the now Provincial, Tom Layden. He says his role will be “to keep the ecumenical dimension of the Church’s life and Jesuit ministeries before the eyes of the Province during the weeks and months ahead”. One of his first tasks concerns the Week of Prayer for  Christian Unity, beginning  on 18 January. He wants to alert Jesuits and their colleagues to the importance of the event, provide them with agreed Inter-Church agreed for ecumenical services and ask them to reflect  on what they might do individually and  in their ministeries to promote ecumenical endeavour.
