Step aside from the ordinary into the lovely surroundings of Manresa for an Oasis Day. Each day takes place in an atmosphere of silence and comprises a number of elements: reflections, guided meditations, prayer and an opportunity to meet with a spiritual director; a celebration of the Eucharist concludes each day. Pilgrim Ways evenings

Manresa Jesuit Centre of Spirituality in Dollymount, Dublin, invites seasoned and prospective walkers to come along on the third Thursday of each month from 7.30pm to 9pm for some reflective time focused on the experience of or in anticipation of pilgrimage. The gatherings will involve some input, quiet time and conversation and will conclude with a cup of tea – a chance to compare notes or meet up with other walkers. Click here for more information ».

The popular Movies that Matter series brings a new selection of films to Manresa Jesuit Centre of Spirituality, 426 Clontarf Road, Dollymount, Dublin 3. Each film will be preceded by a brief introduction and followed by a discussion. The next films will be shown on Wednesdays, 6 November and 18 December, 2019, from 7.30pm to 10pm. Advent Prayer Evenings

Prepare for Christmas at Manresa Jesuit Centre of Spirituality through sessions of guided prayer on each Tuesday of Advent from 26 November to 17 December 2019. These evenings create ‘sacred spaces’ for people to open their heart to the Word of God, helping to prepare to celebrate God’s great love for them. This year Manresa Jesuit Centre of Spirituality keeps the door open for a 'Hop-on/Hop-off Retreat' so people can choose a bit of quiet time between the morning of Monday 16 December and the morning of Friday 20 December 2019. Colloquium on Religious Literacy

The Loyola Institute at Trinity College Dublin is organising a one day colloquium on the theme, “Religious Literacy: Challenges for Today”, comprising international speakers and Irish speakers. It will be held in the JM Synge Theatre, Arts Block, Trinity College Dublin, on Thursday, 16 January, 2020, from 9.30am. Booking is necessary. Lecture on Christian Hope

Professor Graham Ward, Regius Professor of Divinity at University of Oxford, will deliver the inaugural Loyola Institute Lecture on the theme of “Christian Hope Facing Secular Fatalism”. It will take place in Regent House, Front Arch, Trinity College Dublin, at 6pm on Friday, 31 January, 2020.
